Drawing has been, and remains, my first love, forming the foundation of my artistic journey. Life drawing allows me to escape, express, and capture stillness, movement, emotion, and the essence of the human form. I observe and respond, honing skills with different techniques and with watercolour and ink. The drawn line, combined with flowing paint on heavy handmade paper, allows the figure to emerge and recede within the studio setting. Drawing from life is a profound experience, as it fosters a deeper connection with my subject, and I strive to convey a sense of mystery and intimacy.
